This message in in my Top 10 Sermons list.
Rev. Hartman preached it at BJU’s Bible Conference in 2008 - Neil was in the chapel audience, and I was hunkered down at my little desk on Timbers Drive. It has stuck in my mind like few sermons have.
Reading John 7 this morning reminded me of it, so I unearthed it, dusted it off, and had a good listen. I’m amazed all over again at how deliberate Jesus was in proclaiming himself as Messiah. I’m amazed all over again at how perfectly God fulfills his prophesy, like Psalm 118 being chanted over and over and over again during the days of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) and their cries of Hosanna! Yasha’ - na’.
Claim his promise: “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”
Have a listen, if you’re ready to be stirred by this man, this Savior.
