Anyone else have holiday brain already installed? I'm sure it's not just me... :)
I love shopping small as much as I can when buying gifts any time of the year, and especially so when I'm buying for those on my Christmas list. There's something so rewarding about knowing that you're giving a meaningful gift and supporting a small business at the same time!
So starting today, I'm hosting a month of giveaways as my little way to love on and support other small businesses during this holiday season. I moved my own business to a new city last year and rediscovered the value of collaboration over competition and being willing to support each other. This is my little way to do the same for my small biz friends, and I'm so excited to share these favorites with you!
I'll be posting a Holiday Gift Guide every week, and each will be customized for the different people on your gifting lists. If you're on my Christmas list, and you don't like spoilers, you may want to stop reading right here. ;) But enough chatter from me.
Here's my first Holiday Gift Guide, hand-picked for everyone on your list!
1/ My lovely friend Ryann of RyannPaints is a talented artist who lives in Franklin, TN and makes these beautiful watercolor paintings with help from her adorable cat. She creates custom home portraits from a photograph you send her, and I can think of so many people who would love one of these! The options are endless: a childhood home, a first-date ice cream shop, a vacation home, family business, and more. Ryann is doing my first giveaway, so read on for details!
2/ Artifact Uprising is my favorite place for printing photo products. I especially love their square print set and softcover photo books. Who wouldn't want some beautiful prints of their loved ones? (If you hurry, they're offering 10% off photo books until Thursday!)
3/ I found Link of Hearts on Instagram, and instantly connected with their story and mission. The business was created out of their founders' struggle with and healing from depression and anxiety, and now exists to raise awareness of mental illness and offer support to those who need it. With every sale, Link of Hearts gives a piece of jewelry to someone who needs a reminder that there is hope in the midst of darkness (read more here). I love this 'Be Still' candle and its simple design; I'm ordering one for a few people on my own list.
4/ Raise your hand if you like curling up with a steaming mug of something hot in the midst of the festivities? I though so. :) Gifting some quality teas or coffee works for most everyone; I especially love Blue Bottle for their commitment to delivering coffee beans within 48 hours of roasting. In other words: YUM.
5/ I really love these mugs from Bobo Choses. Unique, artsy, and pairs well with hot beverage gift mentioned above.
6/ Chunky Wool Gloves. Mens and womens. Ethical and transparent clothing maker. That's all you need to know, but I feel like I should also tell you that Everlane makes beautiful, quality, and highly addictive clothing. You have been warned.
7/ More from RyannPaints. Giveaway below, so read on!!
8/ I can't think of anyone who wouldn't find a use for this travel kit from Herschel Supply Co. I'd use it for my travel accessories, and my 2-year-old would use it to carry his treasures around the house. There's a color and style for everyone; go take a look!
My first giveaway is for one 4x6 Custom Home Portrait ($80 value!) from RyannPaints. See details below for how to enter; giveaway ends on Friday. Ryann and I will contact the winner to get details for your custom artwork, and whether you give it away or keep it for yourself is totally your decision. ;)
